M.A. Jungian Psychology
From an early age I've felt things deeply. As a child, I noticed the miracles of nature and love all around me. And at the same time, there was also something very off to me about this place. I'd look into people's eyes and see many had their lights on…but no one was home. I saw how adults and children alike spent their time under false, fluorescent light, often in a state of fear. I could see their radiant inner light fading…
Over time, I became one of those people whose inner light was fading fast. It led to a very dark night of the soul. In this dark night, I saw a vision of my great grandmother Juanita, who I'm named after, and who lived in New Mexico in 1903. She looked up to a night sky so few now have the privilege of seeing. I saw how all the twinkling lights in Juanita's big New Mexico sky are inside each and every one of us. But in our modern day, we can more easily lose sight of the starlight in the sky... and in ourselves.
Since then, my Cosmological Spirit has been relentless in showing me how I would have to tend to this sensitive antennae in ways that allow me to be of service. This has led to over 15 years of astrological and esoteric study.
But in my early twenties, I still wanted people to think I was "normal", so I committed to academia. Secretly, I sought the spiritual truths literature can provide. I received my M.A. in English Education from Columbia University, and taught in New York City public schools, later returning home to California to continue in that role.
Year after year on a hamster wheel, recognizing both the students and I were still caged in, I began seeking a psychological understanding of this matrix we're caught in. This resulted in my M.A. in Jungian Psychology, from Pacifica Graduate Institute. Here I studied for 3 years on the Shadow, Archetypal Cosmology, and Dream Tending. Jungian Psychology is also known as Depth Psychology, and was founded by the Swiss psychoanalyst, Carl G. Jung.
"All you can do for another person is be an environment in which if they wanted to come up for air, they could."
Ram Dass
During these studies, the "2020 Vision" occurred,
and I uncovered an Inner Freedom I never had before. In this time of silence, when we could choose to tune out negative, fear-based programming, some of us experienced a profound awakening. In it, I was able to recognize my truest calling. This calling is eloquently spoken by Ram Dass:
